What is Cosmetology?

Cosmetology is the study and application of beauty treatments pertaining to the hair, skin, and nails. Branches of specialty include hairstyling, skin care, cosmetics, nail technology, hair removal, makeup application, and much more. Why Should I Become a Cosmetologist?

The beauty industry is constantly growing and hiring new graduates from cosmetology schools. Chicago area salons are currently seeing a huge demand for beauty professionals. You’ll have many opportunities to work at salons, spas, or even on film and television! There are so many careers where your skills are in demand. In addition, you’ll be able to choose your own hours and schedule, or even start your own business!

What Will I Learn at Your School?

Our education is comprehensive, we will teach you all the practical and theoretical skills in order to pass the Illinois license exam. For students applying for a cosmetology license, this involves interactive courses and practice exams with our skilled instructors leading you every step of the way. Our state of the art facility is equipped with the tools you can use to practice procedures such as: hair cutting, scalp treatments, hair coloring, facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, and more! Can I Enroll Anytime?

At Rosel School of Cosmetology, students are welcome to enroll at any time of the year! We offer open enrollment for your convenience. Whether it is spring, summer, winter, or fall, we welcome any student who wishes to join our classes. We have open enrollment, so once you are finished registering for your program, you may begin class as soon as you wish. We will incorporate you into your program to ensure you have a smooth and successful start. 

Do You Offer Financial Aid?

Affordable education is a top priority for most students. We offer financial aid for qualifying applicants who are applying to our Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Instructor programs. Our admissions and financial aid officer will instruct you on the process for applying for financial aid and guide you through the FAFSA application. We offer free assistance for prospective students applying for the FAFSA or other programs. Click here for more information about our financial aid policy. 

Where Are You Located?

The Rosel School of Cosmetology is conveniently located inside the Golf Mill Shopping Center in Niles, IL, just outside of Chicago. Please park at the west entrance of the mall and use the AMC Theater entrance. 

Do You Offer Part Time Classes?

We know you have a busy schedule, so we offer flexible class options to work around your time. Rosel School of Cosmetology offers full time classes and part time classes for all students in any program.  Our part time class option is 15-24 hours per week, as opposed to our full time class option, which is 24-40 hours per week. As a student, you can choose to attend class during the daytime, or in the evening. We will work with you to create a class schedule that is compatible with your daily obligations. 

Are You Available for Tours?

Yes, we are available for tours Monday through Friday from 12 P.M to 7 P.M. We will show you our facilities and you’ll have a chance to speak with our school president, Rosel. Please call us at least 24 hours in advance if you would like to schedule a tour.
