  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required to take this course at a licensed nail technology school.

Here at Rosel School of Cosmetology, we strive to accommodate students with busy schedules in our flexible Nail Technology Program. We know you have other obligations outsid-qualitys (i.e., work, family).

All students have the option to choose a full-time or part-time schedule while advancing their skills in nail technology.

Full-time: 24-40 hours/week

Part-time: 15-24 hours/week

Students will be able to meet with an academic advisor who will create a tailored schedule that works best for them.

Throughout the course, you will be evaluated on your practical and theoretical skills in order to ensure your timely completion of the course. On successful completion of the course, you will graduate and receive the following qualification:

Once you receive your diploma, you will be qualified to take the Illinois Nail Technician License Exam after completing this Nail Technology Program.

You will report to the state-approved testing facility to take your exam. Please consult our academic advisor for more details. All graduates of Rosel School are able to receive job placement assistance. We will help find suitable employment in the Chicago area for your chosen specialty.

  • 350-Hour Nail Technology Program (Available part-time or full-time)
  • Average length for completion: 12 months (full-time) or 12-18 months (part-time)
  • Full-time = 24+ hours per week (12 months for completion)
  • Part-time = 15–24 hours per week (12-18 months for completion)

During the enrollment process, students will meet with an academic advisor to determine their projected graduation date based on their chosen schedule. Adjustments can be made to the student's graduation date during the duration of their study in our Nail Technology Courses.

  • Completion of 350 hours of coursework within 150% of stated timeframe of course (i.e., full-time being up to 4 months and part-time being up to 8 months)
  • Final theory and practical exams with a score of at least 85%
  • Tuition balance must be paid in full
    Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will receive a diploma and a transcript of hours completed.

Upon joining our nail technology program, you will also be enrolled in our Prosper U Nail Tech Fast Track course as part of our career-driven Nail Technology Courses.

The Prosper U Nail Tech Fast Track course is a 12-hour supplementary course designed to equip nail tech students with business skills that they will need in order to have a successful beauty business.

Some of the things you'll learn are how to attract and maintain a loyal client base and best-practice business-building tools, including retailing, retention, pre-booking, referrals, and increasing the average ticket. Prosper U will give you the tools you need to successfully start a career as a nail technician.

The Prosper U program also comes with an app that students can use to track metrics such as clients serviced and allows them to more easily track their goals.
