Funding Your Education
• Rosel School of Cosmetology is proud to offer FAFSA financial aid for qualifying students.
• FAFSA Financial aid offered for students in the Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Instructor programs.
• Assistance offered for all students applying for the FAFSA. Apply for the FAFSA to see how much aid you’ll qualify for.
• Our financial advisor will help you qualify for the maximum amount of aid possible.
• Flexible monthly payment plans are offered for all students, regardless of program or financial status.
Understand the Types of Aid Available
• Scholarships – Unlike loans, scholarships do not have to be paid back. Rosel School of Cosmetology, along with other schools, community groups and other organizations offer scholarships for students. Please consult with our academic advisor if you are curious about which scholarships you may be eligible for.
• Grants – These are government issued funds and do not need to be paid back. Students who demonstrate financial need are awarded the Pell Grant. Eligible students receive a specified amount each year under the Federal Pell Grant Program.
• Loans – Loans are borrowed money that is disbursed to students for their education. After graduation, the student borrower will be required to start making payments towards this loan. Interest usually needs to be paid with these loans. There are private loans and federal loans. Private loans are provided by third party organizations such as banks and credit unions. Federal loans are provided by the government.
Scholarships Available
In addition to financial aid, students can also apply for scholarships. These scholarships are offered by third party organizations, as well as our institution. In addition to the ones listed below, our school President may approve additional scholarships for certain applicants who demonstrate financial need, veteran status, or other conditions. Please contact us for more information on such scholarships. The American Association of Cosmetology Schools also has more scholarships listed on their website which can be found here. Listed below are a few scholarships which are offered by various organizations:
Great Clips - Alice Madden Barton Scholarship
The Alice Madden Barton Scholarship Program is provided by Great Clips, and is given out twice a year in January and July to beauty school applicants who can demonstrate a passion for the craft and dedication to developing their skills. Students applying must submit a written essay explaining their passion in cosmetology. Apply at Great Clips Careers or by texting “SCHOLARSHIP” TO 98765.
The deadlines for applications are June 30 and December 31.
Beauty Schools Directory - Beauty & Wellness Professionals Scholarship
The Beauty & Wellness Professionals Scholarship is provided by Beauty Schools Directory. $2500 will be awarded twice a year. Any student enrolled in a beauty program may apply. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:
1. Inspiration for choosing your career path
2. Impact you hope to have in your field
3. Thoughtfulness and accuracy of responses

O.P.I - “Great Opera-Tunity” Scholarship
The “Great Opera-Tunity” Scholarship is provided by the Beauty Changes Lives foundation and O.P.I. Newly accepted or currently enrolled Nail Technology students who identify as a POC (Person of Color) are allowed to apply. 12 students will be selected to be awarded $3,000. These funds can be used to assist the student with tuition, learning materials, or housing.

Federal Student Loan Options
Direct Subsidized Loan
Students who have a Direct Subsidized Loan wont be charged interest while they’re enrolled in school or during their six month grace period.
Direct Unsubsidized Loan
Students who have a Direct Unsubsidized Loan will have interest accumulating from the date of their first loan disbursement.
Direct Parent Plus Loan
Parents of dependent students may be eligible for this loan. Borrowers have to meet credit history and debt requirements. Repayment is amortized over 10 years.
